Luc Itterbeek
Sports Medicine Doctor
Dr. Luc Itterbeek is a sports medicine doctor with extensive experience supporting elite athletes across diverse environments. He currently provides medical guidance to top-level athletes and national youth teams at Topsportschool Volleyball and to emerging talents in Belgian Hockey (KBHB). Since 2024, he has been part of the medical team for the Belgian Olympic Committee (BOIC), where he supports the development of high-potential youth athletes.
Luc also has significant experience in cycling, having accompanied the national youth teams in track cycling and mountain biking during the European Championships in 2022 and 2023. Previously, he worked for over ten years at ‘BLITS,’ the high-performance exercise and sports science center for elite athletes at the University of Brussels (VUB), where his passion for sports medicine and innovation was further developed.
With a special focus on sports injuries and ultrasound-guided injections, Luc is dedicated to equipping healthcare professionals with advanced ultrasound techniques. His combined experience in clinical practice and high-performance sports brings valuable insights to the field of modern sports medicine.
